Συγγραφέας

Ο Michael Morpurgo γεννήθηκε το 1943 στην Αγγλία. Σπούδασε αγγλική και γαλλική φιλολογία στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Λονδίνου και στη συνέχεια δούλεψε ως δάσκαλος για δέκα χρόνια. Επίσης πέντε από τα βιβλία του έχουν γυριστεί σε κινηματογραφικές και τηλεοπτικές ταινίες. Πολλά από τα βιβλία του έχουν τιμηθεί με σημαντικά βραβεία όπως το Whitbread Children's Book of the Year Award, το Smarties Prize, το Children's Book of the Year Award, το Cercle D'or και το Prix Sorciere στη Γαλλία, το A.L.A.
