Ibsen, Henrik, 1828-1906

Συγγραφέας

Ερρίκος Ίψεν (1828-1906). Νορβηγός δραματουργός και ποιητής, γεννημένος στην πόλη Σιν της Νορβηγίας. Σε ηλικία 22 ετών δημοσίευσε το πρώτο του θεατρικό έργο, με τίτλο "Κατιλίνας". Κατόπιν προσλήφθηκε στο θέατρο της πόλης Μπέργκεν ως δραματουργός, όπου δουλεύοντας, έγραψε τα έργα: "Η νύχτα του Άη Γιάννη", "Η γιορτή του Σουλχάουγκ", "Η κυρία Ίνγκερ", κ.ά. Το 1857 εγκαταστάθηκε στην πρωτεύουσα Κρίστιανσεν, όπου έγραψε την περίφημη "Κωμωδία του έρωτα", τους "Μνηστήρες του θρόνου", τον "Περ Γκυντ" και τον "Μπραντ". Στη συνέχεια ταξίδεψε στο εξωτερικό, γράφοντας τα έργα: "Εχθρός του λαού", "Κουκλόσπιτο", "Τα στηρίγματα της κοινωνίας", "Αγριόπαπια", "Έντα Γκάμπλερ" και τους ασύγκριτους σε τέχνη και πλοκή "Βρικόλακες", που θεωρούνται και ως το αριστούργημά του. Το τελευταίο έργο του είχε τον τίτλο "Όταν εμείς οι πεθαμένοι σηκωθούμε" και δημοσιεύθηκε το 1900. Πέθανε στο Κρίστιανσεν της Νορβηγίας, σε ηλικία 78 ετών, μετά από πενταετή πλήρη πνευματική και σωματική ατονία.
