His upbringing among the animals is the biggest inspiration in his work, but most importantly he tries to make images that are just fun to look at. His main goal is to make people happy, and find enough time in the day to try everything he wants to - whilst still getting a good long sleep. When not drawing, painting, cutting or sewing, you can find James lost in the mountains with only an overweight dog for company. www.daviesjames.com Series consultant Nikki Gamble is the director of Just Imagine, a specialist resource and training centre for Primary English.
