With the ASTERIAS series, an attempt was made to fill a gap, which exists in the field of teaching and which concerns the learning of the Greek language as a foreign language, for children aged 6 to 13. Having the experience of teaching Greek as a foreign language to adults and teenagers and after writing the well-known series of textbooks "Greek for foreign speakers", the final goal was to create a method in which they are applied for the first time for Greek, young ways of presenting and processing the material, as they derive from the modern trends of teaching a foreign language to children. The result of all the work is the creation of a tool that is useful as well as flexible, attractive as well as effective, full of imagination and ingenuity, elements that make it, among others, to be easily loved by both students and teachers.
